Darryl Jones

Darryl Jones is an Australian scientist, speaker, researcher and author currently living in Melbourne after many years in Brisbane and 5 in Malaysia. He is interested in understanding the many ways that people interact with nature and specialises in urban ecology and transportation impacts. He is committed to effectively communicating science and has written many popular science articles as well as over 200 peer-reviewed articles. He has published 9 books including, A Clouded Leopard in the Middle of the Road (2022), a memoir, Curlews on Vulture Street (2022) and Getting to Know the Birds in Your Neighbourhood (2024).
