Jeremy Watherston

Dr Jeremy Watherston is currently the Deputy Director, Forensic Operations for Forensic Science Queensland overseeing its Forensic Chemistry and Forensic Biology services for the Queensland justice system. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Griffith University and an Industry Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney. An experienced forensic biologist, he has extensive experience reporting across different crime types and DNA-based identification. His research interests are in optimising DNA profiling techniques from compromised human remains and DNA-based disaster victim identification. Experienced in forensic casework, he also has research interests in utilising techniques for the provision of forensic intelligence.
