Rise with the birds for a morning immersed in the transformative sounds of nature and music.
The Dawn Soundwalk invites you to traverse Oxley Creek Common as the sun rises, blending the changing light with the rich auditory tapestry of the waking world. This 45-minute meditative walk will sharpen your listening and draw attention to the often-overlooked sonic twists of our environment – birdsong, rustling leaves, water flowing or even the rhythmic hum of distant traffic.
Facilitated by the experimental music ensemble Clocked Out, the walk features acoustic performances responding to the natural soundscape. Percussion, toy keyboards, flutes, trombone and guitar meld with wind, water, birdlife and human movements, creating a truly unique auditory experience designed to rejuvenate your senses.
This free Digital Detox experience is open to all ages and celebrates the subtleties of listening, connecting, and being present. Leave your devices behind and awaken your ears to the world.
