Stelarc and Daito Manabe: Creative Development & Prototype Demonstration

This event is presented in partnership with QUT.

During World Science Festival Brisbane, internationally renowned performance artist Stelarc (AU) and leading media artist Daito Manabe (JPN) will be in residence in Brisbane to develop and prototype a bold new collaborative work.

Supported by QUT Creative Industries, The Cube, and QUT Galleries and Museums, this project brings together articulated robotics, body‑based performance, and cutting-edge digital systems.

Audiences are invited to a special public demonstration that offers a rare glimpse into a work in progress. Witness the artists’ evolving ideas, technical experimentation, and creative dialogue as they shape an entirely new piece in real time.

Presented in partnership with STELARC / BUNSHIN: Split Body Multilateral Research Lab and Living Together Co.

Supported by Australia-Japan Foundation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
